In a late Jan interview re: the Transformation Committee work, Sankey said


he wanted to identify "the right places to regulate so that we have opportunities for national competition leading into those championships which are the North Star for the NCAA..."

If that is the case, perhaps his conference's CFP notions should reflect that. No one blames Sankey for pushing post season opportunities for his conference; that's his job. But people aren't blind to the practical realities/outcomes of his proposals. Either you want to foster national level competition or you don't.
